Moving Into Quadrant 2: Habit 3: Put First Things First: Brian Schnabel’s Stephen Covey 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People Summary.

Moving into part two of Mr. Covey’s personal management matrix requires people to be working from a center based on principles if they are to accomplish those things which are truly important. He points out here that there really aren’t any tools available yet that will help a person to figure out how to do this but tells us that we can use our mission statement as a guide.

Stephen also talks about how attempting to manage people efficiently really isn’t a good idea and rarely works. He tells us we need to take our time with people in order to be effective with them; putting time limits on conversations with them, or the time we spend with them, being a rather bad idea.
